When did you start playing the drums?
In sec 1. I joined my secondary school band, and auditioned for various instruments like the clarinet and trumpet, but I couldn't blow for nuts. I happened to breeze through the percussion audition and I'm glad I got into percussion. I can't see myself enjoying playing the clarinet now. No offense to clarinet players of course.
Early shot at performance?
Well, I was learning the electone in Yamaha and had to do a graduation performance. That was like when I was 7?
Do you play other instruments?
As mentioned, the organ, and I picked up the electric guitar after Sec 4. I was influenced too much by bands that I was listening to at that time.
What are your musical influences?
All sorts of rock basically. Initially was into alternative rock, punk and old school rock in my teenage years, then I started listening to progressive rock and more recently, all sorts of emo/hardcore stuff. I'm not sure how to classify most of these bands and I'm sure there've been lotsa debates on this topic, but for simplicity's sake I'll just lump them all together haha.
What music do you listen to?
I grew up with Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Blink182, Blur, Oasis, Ash, Weezer, Bon Jovi, GnR, Def Leppard. I was into Korn and Marilyn Manson for a while too. Got hooked on Dream Theater later on and now I'm into bands like Funeral for a Friend, Bullet for my Valentine, Senses Fail, Taking Back Sunday, Muse, Fall out Boy, and oh Audioslave and Velvet Revolver. I like some jazz and smooth jazz too.
Which is your favourite song that Reverie plays?
I'll be there for you by Bon Jovi and Slither by Velvet Revolver
What equipment are you using right now?
Sabian AA 16" Thin Crash and Sabian AAX 14" Stage Hats. yup that's about all that I have. I dun have a drumset of my own, sad huh? I'm using Pro-Mark's Mike Portnoy signature sticks now but I would say my favourite pair is Vic Firth's Dave Weckl Signature sticks

Tell 3 things that nobody knows about you.
I was caught on Gotcha a long time ago for some gag involving the electone. As unathletic as I may seem now, I was in my primary school's athletic team. although I quit after a few years. I have quite a number of moles on my body, if anyone bothers to notice. but fortunately they're not those bulbous types with a strand of hair sticking out of them. Those will only appear when I'm an old man, speaking of which I am like 1/4 there.
